"Planted To Prosper & Chosen To Create"

My wife Barbara, who was to attend a retreat in Cumberland , Maryland on October 27th and 28th, 2006, asked me to drive to that location. I agreed and thought that it would give me an opportunity to relax at the resort at Rocky Gap, take a few photographs of the surrounding area and to actually do nothing.

After reaching the resort and perusing the outside areas, I visited the location of the Conference. I visited the conference room, dining area and the prayer room. Once you entered the prayer room, you were offered the absolute presence with the Lord. It gave you an opportunity to reflect, to pray and an opportunity to be in the presence of God.

The retreat speakers were all awesome. Minister Donna Drummond's "It's Time To Come Forth", Rev. Tim Tooten's, "Stick To The Plan", Minister Donna Brown's "There Is More To Me Than You See", Rev. Eric King's "The Devil Is Not Confused" and Rev. Julian Rivera's "I Want You To Meet Somebody."

As the speakers pricked your mind they made you consider, "Accepting what God has appointed you to do", "Plan to have a special aim, purpose or extent", Balance your hurt with faith", What spiritual shape are you in?", "What is the motive behind your prayer?, and "What kind of dirt are you?" (good-bad-rocky-thorny).

The information offered by the anointed conference speakers could help you conquer life's adversaries with spirit and power.

How does one describe the encounter at the Rocky Gap Retreat? You could use words like, outstanding, exceptional, remarkable, life changing, moving, spiritually uplifting, fulfilling or just awesome. I would just use all of those words to describe my encounter with God on the mountain. All of the sessions were beneficial and rewarding in my Walk with God.

Again, I say the retreat weekend was "AN ENCOUNTER ON THE MOUNTAIN WITH GOD".

This was the first time I had ever been on a retreat and I was not disappointed. I was able to renew and begin again. I was able to learn that I could have a great time fellowshipping with other people in song, scriptures and praying to the Lord. We were on top of God's mountain and I was able to learn why we need personal time with the Lord. I plan to go next year.

The 2006 Disciples Retreat was an awesome experience! The anointing of God was powerful in that place and we were truly blessed. We left from those mountains revived, renewed, and equipped to exemplify stronger witnesses for the Lord.
